Challenging Youth to Improve

Their World

Trips for Kids Detroit is dedicated people using outdoor adventures to build character, self-esteem, teamwork and environmental awareness in Michigan's urban Youth.

We have a big year of fundraising planned. Because we're doing more, we need your help more than ever to get it done! Click here to help us reach our goals for 2005.

Based on the Trip for Kids Model Program in Marin County, California, Trips for Kids bike programs have helped inner city and low income kids across the United States and Canada by offering mountain bike outings and environmental education. The goal of our youth bike programs is to combine lessons in personal responsibility, achievement and environmental awareness through the development of practical skills and the simple act of having fun.

Spring has (almost) Sprung!

We have many trips planned, with biking trips starting in April. Here's what is coming up.

Our park clean-up project is April 23, 2005. Come help us, Alternatives for Girls, the MMBA and REI clean up Rouge River Park. Whole Foods is providing a lunch. Click here for more information!

A special thanks to Maxxis Tires for their generous donation of 150 brand new tubeless mountain bike tires for our bikes!!
